Configuration cannot be changed after code generation Posted: 08 Feb 2010 09:43 AM |
I generate the first configuration with the wizard, however, I cannot make subsquent change after that, I need to delete the project and configuration and redo the wizard to generate the code I want.
I also checked the XML file that store those configuration, nothing is change, and I can find any buttom in the UI that allows me to save the change |

Configuration changes are automatically saved on losing the input focus from the configuration page that is currently selected.
Project configurations that are created though the wizard are no different than configurations created with the wizard a configuration created from Projects Explorer (Workspace\New Project Configuration menu item).
Here is an easy way to verify if your configuration changes are saved:
1. Select "Description" configuration page
2. Type a "Description (e.g. "My Description")
3. Select "Components" configuration page
4. Close OxyGen Code and re-open it
6. Select "Description" configuration page for that configuration that was selected on Step 1
You should see the description that was specified on Step 2.
Please let us know if this explanations helped solving your problem.

My system is Vista x64, OxyGen version is 3.1.5.0.
I have tried change the description in the description tab, and move on to other tab say component, then go back to description, that will remain okay, but after I closed the the program and reopen it, it stay the same and unchanged.
Also, I have check the XML file where the setting is store, the time stamp show that there is nothing change when I change the tab.

Joseph,
While we are working on trying to locate the cause of the issue that you are experiencing, would you try to run the app as administrator? |

Joseph,
We managed to replicate and fix the issue. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
A new installer will be available for donwload on the website shortly.
Please note that before installing the new version (it will be 3.1.7) you need to uninstall the existing one. |

Thanks for the fix.
I suggest that you make the object property as read only for compute columns, instead of with "set".
I also suggest there is value field for Select table process instruction, that generate additional methods. I knew it can be done by View but that will make the object modal grow too big.

Josephlau,
Thanks for the suggestions, but am not clear on one of them:
"I also suggest there is value field for Select table process instruction, that generate additional methods"
I am not quite sure what you mean by that. |
